Background
You are designing for ShopLink, a growing multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace where independent sellers list and sell their products. ShopLink earns revenue by charging sellers a commission on every sale.
- Sellers: Range from small businesses to larger brands. Their performance directly impacts customer satisfaction and ShopLink’s revenue.
- Admins: Internal employees responsible for monitoring the marketplace, ensuring sellers maintain quality standards, resolving disputes, and making decisions that protect both the customer experience and the business’s financial health.
Currently, admins face challenges:
- Seller performance issues are hard to spot early.
- Customer complaints often pile up before admins can act.
- Leadership wants clearer visibility into key marketplace KPIs like sales growth, refund rates, and seller quality.
Task
Design a dashboard module for admins that helps them:
- Quickly identify underperforming sellers (low sales, late deliveries, poor ratings).
- Take corrective actions (e.g., warn the seller, suggest improvements, or suspend the account).
- Monitor the overall business health at a glance (high-level KPIs).
Deliverables (2 Days)
- Wireframes (lo-fi or mid-fi) for this dashboard module.
- A 1-page rationale explaining:
- How you structured the information hierarchy.
- How your design balances Admin usability (clarity, speed, reducing complexity) with business goals (ensuring seller quality, sustaining revenue growth).
- At least 2 trade-offs you considered (e.g., fewer KPIs for clarity vs. more for completeness).
Time Expectation
6–8 hours max. Focus on clear reasoning and logical structure, not polished visuals.
